The location is magnificent, not too far away from Vivero Verapaz. The area is marked just off local attractions with shuttle service available. Hotel staff is very efficient and helpful. Right next to the local market and a market street.

The staff at Matalbatz Hotel really went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They even prepared dishes for us when we arrived late in the evening. The rooms were clean and had plenty of storage space. The location of the hotel, although close to a street market, was relatively close to the main park downtown. I highly recommend this hotel for its hospitable staff and cool location.

The noise level in and around the hotel can be quite high, making it challenging for light sleepers to get a good night's sleep.

The limited English spoken by the staff, but that's understandable since the local language is Spanish. However, they still made an effort to communicate with me and we were able to understand each other with some patience.
